9 months!

Kieran (left) welcomed his 9 month birthday by being restless and hysterical most of the night. Nothing we could do or offer would calm him down. I am assuming he was having teething torture as two bottom teeth are making their way through, but I am only guessing. Finally, at 545am zombie like, I decided to put him in the car seat in the car and what do you think happened? Crashed for nearly 2 hours. I needed a break from the constant crying, but it was baffled more in the car than in his room and only lasted a minute or so. Why I didn't convince myself to do that sooner, I don't know.

This past month clapping became a delight to him! You can catch him clapping at just about anything and its adorable. He weighed in at 18.7lbs and 27.5 in, a bit behind where Caleb was, so he is definitely the little brother. He is still not wanting to crawl, will push backward in anger, but otherwise just screams after a bit of torture has passed. He loves to stand at the coffee table and just be a part of everything that is going on around him. He has enjoyed my creations of broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries and banana along with spinach, potatoes and kiwi. I will pass thank you, but if there is a way to get those important nutrients into his body, mix away! He is enjoying more finger foods like cheese puffs, teething biscuits and puffs. When fussy hour hits before bed time, its amazing what a cheese puff can do! Kieran also loves to take a bath in his ducky tub! He will just smile and splash around as long as I let him!

Caleb continues to ask when his brother will grow up and if we are going to get a girl baby some day. I keep telling him that mommy and daddy are happy with our boys and no girls will be joining us. He is a wonderful big brother with a heart full of love. Any time he can kiss or hold him is precious to us. One of my favorite lines from Caleb is when Speedy is sniffing out Kieran, "Momma. Seaby dog is licking our baby!" I love my boys and truly appreciate the gift they are to me.
