Hopefully no more than 19 more days to go before I get to meet you. I found out about you on my 32nd birthday which seems so very long ago. The best birthday present I have received thus far! I am amazed how quickly you have grown in my womb, how fast this pregnancy has passed and here I am at the point of anxiety over your soon arrival. It is funny how when the end is so near, it can't pass quickly enough! As your big brother has said many times, "I will wait for you."
Thank you for every punch, kick and hiccup which assures me daily that you are growing and thriving in my belly. As I read to Caleb, I wonder if any of those books might be a favorite of yours when you are older. If you prefer Mommy, Daddy or Caleb's singing at bedtime. If you will be my precious little girl or handsome little boy. Caleb wants a little brother now, but just in case your a little sister, he will love you just the same. I wonder if you too will be 8lbs with a full, dark, BIG head of hair. I wonder if you too will look exactly like your Daddy at birth.
Your Daddy, Caleb and I have prayed for you daily. Thanking God for yet another blessing in our lives. Thank you for never making me sick and allowing me to enjoy the past 9 months. I am now a bit uncomfortable and not sleeping much, but that again is another wonder of God that amazes me about motherhood. He prepares us well in advance for what will come.
Its funny that I don't know what to expect with your arrival this time. I had no idea with Caleb until some constant cramping began at 4am the day after he was due. Everyone tells me the second baby comes much quicker. As much as I would be delighted to have another 4.5hr labor and delivery, please give me a little extra warning so I can get to the hospital and have my epidural first! Lord knows, I don't want to be yelling out profanities on your birthday as I welcome you into our family.
I love you so very much, words cannot express. It is a privilege to be your mother. To love and care for you as long as our God allows me to.
