I don't know where time goes. I swear I was bouncing on an exercise ball a week ago trying to get labor started and now here I am feeding my baby cereal already in a high chair! Has 6 months seriously passed already? This past month Kieran starting jumping in his jumparoo. He loves it. I can't even get him in there completely and he is already jumping away! He still loves playing on his back over his tummy and has not yet mastered rolling or sitting up on his own, but I know every baby is different. Kieran is delightful. He is so smiley and happy except when left on his tummy or in the Circle of Fun for too long. If any of us sing "What's up with that" from the SNL skit he immediately starts glowing! He is grabbing for everything, even at this moment he is trying to type my blog post for me. How helpful. Sleeping has been rough this past month and I can't quite put my finger on it. I never had any sleep problems with Caleb at this age, but last night I was ready to Ferberize and he surprised me by sleeping so soundly. Maybe it was a last meal of formula that did the trick. We shall see.
Caleb loves him beyond words. It is such a blessing to see his love for his brother. If Kieran is sleeping, rather than disturb him, he will kiss him through his bedroom wall. He always gets so giddy when he wakes from a nap. "Bring him into the living room!" If Kieran is having a bottle, Caleb wants some milk too. When Kieran babbles, Caleb says, "He is talking baby." I can hardly wait for a year to pass to see the changes in their relationship. I just hope it stays.
I love my boys. I am trying to savor every minute of my last baby because time is flying by so quickly. Pretty soon they will be sharing bunk beds. Caleb can hardly wait for baby Kieran to join him up top.
