Happy Easter!

Saturday night we told Caleb when he woke up that the Easter Bunny will have come and hidden a basket for him to find. First thing he asked for on Easter. "Where is my Easter Basket?" He wasn't sure where to look so Daddy guided him into our spare room. The Easter Bunny hid his basket in the ball pit! He climbed in to find a fun basket of treats and toys! While combing through it, he asked where the Easter Bunny went. Of course he wanted a treat right away, but I said we had to eat breakfast first and Momma would break the rules today!

Later in the day we went over to the Odegaard's to celebrate with our family friends. They are our family away from family and we try and get together as much as possible. Our kids love each other and we really have fun together! Another family, the Poorman's from church also joined us. We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids which was so fun to watch! Caleb finally figured out there were treats inside the eggs, so he would try and break them open rather than collect them in his basket! After the hunt we enjoyed a lovely meal prepared by Chef Bethany herself. Always delicious! Caleb chose not to eat dinner so no Easter treats could be had. He was fine with it until we got home and the tantrum began. It was funny, Bethany sent me a text saying Caleb had won the award for best behavior amongst all of the kids right as we got home. I let her know she was missing out on a no treat tantrum that was erupting! Caleb couldn't stop crying and whining for treats so he lost his bedtime stories which upset him even more! He eventually conked out....and what did he ask for the next morning? Treats. The next morning? Treats. I think this will continue until we decide they have all disappeared so suddenly!
