Last visit to Phoenix!

My Dad has made the trip out for Spring Training the past 5 years I have lived in AZ. He just made his last trip out to AZ this past weekend. I guess now that we are moving, he has no reason to come out if he can't see us too! He took in a full weekend of games while we stayed behind and cared for Caleb who must of had a stomach bug or food poisoning. Poor guy was sick during Grampy's visit!

Luckily he had some moments of wanting to play outside and I got to capture a cute picture of him and Grampy playing in the unfinished vegetable garden.

Please come and visit me in Indy Grampy! See ya soon!

SOLD!!!!!

I received a call from my realtor this morning at 730 with an offer. I could not believe what I was hearing. I had 2 showings the first day on the market and someone loved it that much to make an offer! Wow! Today, we had another showing and another offer. We countered the first offer and they accepted this afternoon for more than the asking price. What? Kerry and I are completely amazed at God's awesome power. I never would have thought I could sell my house in less than 48 hours in this economy! Now the stress of paying rent and a mortgage are no longer present. Now, I just have to hope and pray everything goes smoothly with the escrow process. What an exciting and blessed day! Amen!

1 House for Sale!

Our first home was listed for sale last night and I was not expecting to get any calls for showings so soon! I had 2 today (must be the luck of the Irish) and I must say, it was a bit crazy trying to quickly pick up toys and make the house look somewhat presentable in the midst of our packing! I guess I will have to plan on doing this everyday just in case I get any calls. I had about a half hour notice which was nice, but I was running around like a crazy woman trying to clean and then get Caleb in the stroller and Speedy out the door as quickly as possible so the house would be vacant.

My hope and prayers are that our lovely first home will sell within 90 days before we have to pull it off the market and rent it out. I remember looking at it during the previous tenant's son's birthday party and then coming back a second time before making a decision within a weekend. I was sold on the open kitchen and huge backyard, and my hope is that someone out there will be sold the same way.

A quick visit to Sacramento!

By now, most of you have heard that the Snyder family is headed to Indiana next month. Kerry accepted an Associate Pastor of Student Ministries position at Grace Community Church in Noblesville. We are super excited to open this next chapter in our lives and explore a different part of the country. Plenty more updates to this adventure ahead, but I had to start off with that as the basis for my most recent visit to see my family in Sacramento.

Caleb and I took a quick trip to Sac this past weekend to spend time with my family before we take off. The nice thing about my move is that the airfare cost is about the same. The downside is no direct flights, so my next trip will take up a full day with a layover and time difference. Cost is the key! Sac was still experiencing some winter, so I enjoyed the crisp air, something that has been long gone here in AZ! Caleb loved to play in my sister's backyard and I quickly taught him a new hiding place, which was just a column of her house. I went behind it and then peeked out and he would copy me! So cute! At one point, he stood around saying, "Momma. Momma." So I had to pop out! Caleb learned to blow on a flute my sister had which would be her morning wake up call for the remainder of our stay.

Friday afternoon we did some errands with Lindsay and Dave, got a balloon from the Nugget (a fabulous store, similar to AJ's here). Their balloons were tied to a clothespin so you could clasp it onto the cart or wherever. Brilliant! More stores should do this! We came home for lunch and a nap (Caleb had to hold his balloon while napping.....so stinkin cute!) to get ready for our pizza party later that night with friends and family. On Saturday we went to the park with Grampy before naptime and our short, but sweet visit was nearly over.

I realized again how important visits are with family. Caleb was a bit shy around them because he is not sure who they really are just yet. If he had the opportunity to see them on a weekly basis, I am positive things would be different. Even though we are moving further away, my visits home will still be as frequent. They need to be. I thank Southwest for offering affordable airfare which will make this possible.
